Heritage and Culture

Culturally speaking, Porthcawl and its surrounds are a veritable goldmine, filled as they are with such gems as Ewenny Priory, a twelfth century religeous fortification generally considered to be one of Britains finest examples.

Castles and buildings aside there are a host of other attractions to choose from, with Parks and Nature Reserves vying for your time with the likes of The Welsh Porcelain Company in Maesteg. Britain’s premier manufacturer of Bisque porcelain, producing figurines for Wedgewood, Coalport, Spode, Villeroy and Bosh, The Welsh Porcelain Company are only one of the fine pottery workshops and showrooms in the area.

Cardiff and Swansea are both within easy striking distance of The Seabank Hotel, offering the wider option if local theatre and cinema are not showing anything that grabs your fancy. In fact by staying at The Seabank Hotel you are in the ideal position to explore all of those things that define best Wales.
